Castle Gwynn now has two copper dome roofs. This second roof weighs over 12 tons and is comprised of an all hand-constructed timber frame with copper sheeting. The roof was built entirely in a true 16th Century manner: no nails were used at all, rather the joints were fastened with wooden pegs
